Directives and rules
At the competition competitors must abide by SSL’s rules, special directives for ski orienteering FC 2019 and the organizer’s advice.

Eligibility to FC contests is consistent with the Finnish Orienteering Association rules. Others can participate in these classes as part of national Lapin Lumirastit contest.
Entry
Latest on 28.2.2019, at 24:00 by using Finnish Orienteering Federation IRMA service, https://irma.suunnistusliitto.fi/.

For Lapin Lumirastit late registration is received with 1,5-times the normal entry fee. Late entries will be accepted until 4.3.2019 at 24:00 by using Finnish Orienteering Federation IRMA service. For FC competition there is no late registration and no delayed entries are accepted.
When you register for the competition, you must remember to mention your EmiTag-card number. If you do not mention EmiTag-card number, we will rent you a card, which you can get from the info for 8 €/day. If you forget to hand in the rented EmiTag after the competition, you will be charged 100 euros.
Participation fees
The participation fee of the Finnish Championships (second competition of Lapin Lumirastit) is 32,30 euros.
In the classes H/D11 and H/D13 the fee is 15 €/day in all competitions and in other classes and competitions 25 €/day.
The entry fee must be paid by using the Finnish Orienteering Federation’s IRMA service at same time as the registration.
Route guidance
About 6 km from Pello towards Rovaniemi.
Competition center and parking
Competition center is Ritavalkea ski centrum. We will serve lunch and cafeteria products in the competition centre. Also toilets, showers and dressing rooms are located in the competition centre.
Parking is in the competition center.
Map
Ski-o map 3/2019, a printed map and the size is A4. In the sprint the scale is 1:5000, in the long distance 1:10 000 or 1:15 000 and in the middle distance 1:10 000.
Terrain
The terrain is forest terrain of wooded hills typical of Northern Finland. The highest height difference is about 60 m.

Start
Friday, 8.3., the first start at 14:00.
Saturday, 9.3., the first start at 10:00 am.
Sunday, 10.3., the first start at 10:00 am.
Distance to start is 600 m in every day.
Punching system and GPS
EmiTag punching system. GPS tracking in Finnish Championships in the classes H/D21.
Prizes
In all classes overall results are counted by points in all races. The winner of the class in a race scores 1000 points and all others in relation to winning time.
On Saturday, FC medals and commemorative prizes for top three. Plaques according to the rules of Finnish Orienteering Federation.
After the last race on Sunday, Lapin Lumirastit prize giving by overall results.

Dining
In the competition center there is served lunch (not at Friday), sausages and cafeteria products.
Possible changes and thermal boundary
Temperature limit is -20°C one hour before the first start. According to the competition jury decision, the first start can be delayed or the race cancelled. Information of the possible delay or cancellation will be found on the site https://lapinlumirastit.fi/2019/.
